Identity
Where Interior Design, Psychology & Personality meet to create a home that truly feels like you
What is Interior Design Identity?
You’ve bought pieces you like, saved all the pins, maybe even taken an interior design style quiz.
But your home still doesn’t feel quite right and you’re not sure why.
That’s because most people design backwards, starting with trends, Pinterest boards, or aesthetic labels instead of how they actually want to live.
Interior Design Identity is a psychology-based design framework that blends timeless interior design principles with your your personal design style, values, and experiences so you can make confident decisions, stop second-guessing, and finally create a home that feels as good as it looks.
If your home looks fine but doesn’t feel quite right, this is where it changes.
Interior Design Identity helps you uncover the deeper patterns behind what you love and why.

Why You’re Overthinking Your Whole House Color Palette
(And how to build one that actually works)
Hi, I’m Katie!
Before becoming an interior designer, I spent nearly a decade doing behavioral research in healthcare, studying how people make decisions when the stakes are high.
I never imagined that work would shape how I think about interior design. But the more I listened to people talk about their homes, the more I saw the same patterns: pressure, indecision, overwhelm, and a desire to feel truly at home in their space!
In my previous career, I translated complex behavioral data into clear, actionable insights that busy health professionals could use in the real world. Now, I bring that same approach to interior design so you’re not left decoding vague style advice or sorting through endless inspiration without direction.
My work is grounded in a strengths-based perspective: starting with what’s already working, honoring your preferences, and guiding you toward a space that feels like home, without chasing every trend.
